The story:

Now mind you, I have a slight hearing impediment I was born with. I first misheard the song in bed at night, with the radio low, so my parents could not hear it. Well, come 'round 1978/79 as a freshman in high school, one of my fellow musicians and I were discussing songs. He brought up the Queen song, but of course I did not recognize the title. So he "hummed a few bars" as it were, "OH!!! You mean that song that goes - Friiied Chicken, Friiiiied Chicken, I want to ride my fried chiCKEN....." Needless to say laughter and teasing abounded for WEEKS!
