To this day, I have no idea what a 'lubbery' is, but I had sung it that way for decades. Like many of the poor souls on here, karaoke was my undoing. I stopped singing at that line and exclaimed "Memory!' Wow! Now THAT makes a lot more sense", then had to catch up with the rest of the song.
