This is really embarressing, cuz I'm a big Kiss fan! I sang it that way for years, puzzled by the fact that the lyrics didn't seem to make sense, until I got internet access, and went to a Kiss site to look up the lyrics. I felt like a total prat when I saw how far off my version was!
