The story:

My nine year old daughter got a Beach Boy CD from my brother, who was a big fan. I never was--because of this song. I thought they were saying that anybody with a thought in their head would be a surfer, but I didn't have anyplace to surf, so how was I supposed to do it? She was singing in the living room one day "If everybody had an ocean..." then turned and asked "How far is the ocean?"--and it all went bling. But too late--I still don't like them.
