The story:

This is actually my father-in-law's claim. A bunch of us kids were sitting in the kitchen when he came in to ask us what these new-fangled lyrics meant. There was a moment of stunned silence (did we dare laugh?) before someone diplomatically informed him that he'd misheard and recited the real lyrics. He left rather abruptly after that.
