The Story: You smell like goat, I'll see you in hell
I overheard a classmate singing this song at the top of his lungs when we were 12 years old. Don't know whether he was singing the real lyrics and I just misheard him, or whether he was singing what I was hearing. In any case I knew that these were not the real lyrics (they were way too silly for that), so I wasn't all that embarrassed or surprised when I heard the real ones later on (when I was older and wiser and knew who R.E.M. were).
