We're going down on the devil

The story:

This mistake was made by a friend of mine, a couple of years younger than I. Somehow during the normal course of conversation, we got on to the heavy-metal band "Edguy". We were talking about one of their latest albums, and I mentioned that I really liked *this* song, especially when it reached the chorus.

Well my friend in question then said "Oh, you mean the 'We're going down on the devil' part?"

At which point silence fell over the rest of us for a second, and we burst out with laughter. After we told him the correct version and asked him why in the world he thought this band in particular would sing about giving the Devil oral-sex, he said "Well now that you mention it, I always thought that was a bit odd".
