The Story: You smell like goat, I'll see you in hell
This wasn't so much embarassing as it was frustrating. My Mum watched this Romantic Serial (Days of our Lives), and I once asked her "Mummy, why does he call her my dumb Carrie?" My Mum explained it to me, and had me listen day after day after day, ad nauseum. It ALWAYS sounded like "my dumb Carrie" to me. It must have been many years later until I heard it correctly, despite being able to sing Old MacDonald Had A Farm since before hearing the intro to Days of our Lives! Grrrrrrr ... frustrating.
