The story:
I was most impressed that someone had actually written a song about me! So I was singing it at the top of my voice in the school corridor when I realised everyone was sniggering. When I asked what the joke, I found it was me! (But I still sing my version in private!)

I was in the 7th grade abt 1966 and the exact thing happened to me. I was singing at the top of my lungs 'you and me and Leslie' when my older more sophisticated, snotty cousin and her smug friend were laughing at me and pointed out that it was 'you and me endlessly. I always picture a dude drive with his girlfriend and her friend Leslie. Sort of wondered why Leslie was with them?

I always wondered who "Leslie" was! I would hear this song & wonder if they had a daughter or if he was having a manage a troi.
