The story:
Well, you have to admit that it does sound pretty convincing. A singer who firstly descibes his shabby appearance, understanding how that may disqualify him in her eyes. Yet, despite that, he is still an eligible partner for this woman he is so -uh- in love with by listing his unique qualifications to do the job?
Actually I'm still not convinced that I have been wrong all these years. I'll only accept Pete Townsend's say so that I got the wrong end of the stick.
Go on then, try and explain to me one more time. I promise I'll try to be reasonable..!
