The story:
Not terribly embarrassing. I hadn't heard the song, recorded when I was eight, in many, many years, at least 10 years. Then, one day, right after an interview for my first "real" job, right out of college, I got in the car and the song came on. I was alone and giggling at how I could have possibly heard them wrong. I got the job.
