The story:

This is what I thought it was when I was a kid. I asked my mom who Dixie Lamperty was, if she was a singer from a long time ago or something. My mom said she had never heard of her and asked my stepdad. I said, "You know, like in that song..." and proceded to sing the wrong lyrics. My parents said "Ohhhhh...." in unison, laughed and corrected me. I was only about 6 or 7 though, so i didn't care.
