The story:

I have had such difficulty with these lyrics over the years (and still don't feel confident of the correction) that I have canvased over 100 people - at least! There are times when it sounds like "bless the rains" and times when it doesn't. I've also heard "I guess it rains", "I pass the rains", and others that I can't remember.
