The story:
Well I was about 10 and we had this film with Macaulay Culkin called 'Getting even with dad' and 'start me up' was on it, I used to sing my version all the time. it was only 8 years later when I became a proper Stones fan that I realised how wrong I was, and wondered why on earth it had made sense to me for the stones to be singing about non-stopping nuts...
