Basically, I have to blame this on my innocence as a little child. Before watching "Grease", I only heard this song on a distant radio or a speaker, and I could not make it out on what John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John were saying, an I just assumed by the way it sounded. I was only about 6. What's worse, my brother misheard them in the same exact way, highly convincing me that I was correct. However, just last week, I watched "Grease" and it sounded nothing like "Walla walla", so I turned the subtitles on, and I felt really embarrassed. I actually sang my version in front of others over the years!
