The story:

Okay so it's not really really really funny. The funny thing is that I
sang these lyrics from 1972 (at age 17) until 2006 (age 52) when I
was suddenly roused to reality by "Sing that i-Tunes" which finally
set me straight. Surely a world's record time for singing for
mistaken lyrics.
