The story:
I was riding in the car with my husband when the song came on. As we listened to the song I asked him his opinion on what constituted a "stale" horse, I'm thinking sweaty, tired horse. He looked at me kinda of funny and said it's "steel" horse you know a motorcycle. DUH!

I always heard it that way, too. I knew it couldn't possibly be right, but could never hear it correctly until I bought a motorcycle a few years ago and it finally clicked for me.
