The story:
I was about to post a message on my blog about the inventiveness of these lyrics inspite of the general sappiness of the artist in question, when I decided to look up the rest of the lyrics.
I had always heard it as decoy and it gave me a lovely mental image of leaving a mannequin for your lover to find and him/her taking to much time to notice to prevent you from escaping.
