For many years, I thought the song was about Billy Corgan escaping from a high school field trip. Many years later I suddenly realized that "rest bus" was not the same thing as "rest stop," even if, hypothetically, a school bus were to be stopping at one, and a round-headed hairless teenager were rapidly hightailing away from said bus.
