Well it hadn't been years, but I was browsing your website, and I was looking at these lyrics, and someone else had messed up the line before, with the Louisville slugger, anyway i was like 'that can't be right, the next line is wrong' well, i looked up the right lyrics, and sure enough i had been singing it wrong for quite some time.
