This was really my father's. He and my mom were in the car when this song first came out and he was just singin' along. My mom goes, "What did you just say?" And he says, "Dr. Spuffman, my old friend. He's talking to his psychaitrist." My mother passed the story on to me, since they were divorced not too long after that, so now I torture him with it every chance I get. H e still thinks his lyrics make better sense.
