The story:
Practicing for karaoke in the car, singing along with the CD...my husband was listening (he's my harshest critic) and all of a sudden he hit the pause button, saying, "Waitwaitwait, hold it a second!" --reverse--"Do that part again."--play. I pick it back up, get to those lines, and he dissolved into hysterics.
When he was able to speak again, he asked, "Do you seriously believe Shania Twain would sing about necrophilia? Really?"
I stopped and really thought about it, then realized what I'd been saying. To cover my own humiliation, I sniffed haughtily and replied, "Well--she said she covers her head. At least she's embarrassed about it!"
He had to stop the car...and we almost had to get the upholstery cleaned. *sigh!*
