The story:

I was trying to impress my now-boyfriend, who was then just some guy that I was trying to impress by proving that I was familiar with the works of Cobain et al by singing along really confidently in the car to what I was sure were the real lyrics. I don't know, I guess I figured that along with Kurt's various other problems, some sort of body-dysmorphic disorder wouldn't be that out of the question. My now-boyfriend was laughing so much he had to stop the car for fear of crashing. I thought I had blown it but, I guess he must have seen it as an endearing quality as we have now been together for more than 3 years. However my now-boyfriend will never let me forget it, and I've made sure I check the lyrics to things before I sing along quite so loudly.
