The story:
My then-boyfriend and I used to sing the lyrics this way all the time, and his nickname in high school was Magic. For his birthday I actually bought him a towel and had it personalized with the word MAGIC in gold letters because of the lyric in the song. I was bragging about how creative and caring this was to my girlfriend, and she told me that actually I had the lyric wrong.
