I bought this album when I was 15 years old. I listened to it many times, and though "Paradise City" wasn't one of my favorites, I was quite familiar with it. About 5 years later while in college, some friends and I popped G n R in for a little nostalgia and I commented to a room full of friends that it was odd for a song named "Paradise City" to have a chorus of "very nice city." There were lots of open-mouthed stares, followed by laughter and my very red face. It took saying out loud what I had thought for years to make me realize what a dork I had been.
