The story:

The moment of realisation came when myself and a bunch of mates (mentor, beast et al.) started singing Bobby D tunes whilst walking through town. Bob had been a staple musical accompaniment for the past several months, but when I sang the opening lyrics they noticed that things were not quite right. Asking me what I thought the lyrics were, I told them what I then thought was right - cue much laughter on their part and embarrassment on mine. To this day it still gets mentioned. I feel these lyrics are much better than the original and I believe I have out-mastered the lyric master. Other people don't seem to agree...
