The story:
I had to be like 4 years old when this song came out, so in my head that's what it sounded like he was saying "Meat" not "Me"....I mean why would someone take a piece of someone else away, am I right?? I always pictured her packing a suitcase of ham...I don't know why - but I figured wherever she was going, she'd be hungry! I was probably a teen when I realized - Why would someone pack a ham in a suitcase...?? And I asked my sister, who then thought I officially lost it and filled me in on the real lyrics.... ;)
