The story:
I was teaching an English class to
foreign students, discussing how
difficult it was to hear lyrics
in many songs; if you don't know
what they are, your mind can really
mess you up.
I played the G&R song as an example,
telling them I was CERTAIN it wasn't
what I thought it was, but for the
life of me I couldn't figure it out!
One of my foreign students heard it,
and in ONE SHOT told me what was being
said!!!
In my defence, when I tell people the
WRONG lyrics first, lying that it is a
surreal moment in the song, unwary
listeners hear it too...
