The story:
I'd always wondered whether I'd heard them right. They just didn't seem to make any sense. I wondered, "did they say 'wrapped up' or 'racked up'?" Not that it mattered--it didn't make much sense either way.
So, I looked it up on one of those "Lyrics" sites. "Revved up like a deuce?" I immediately thought of a 1932 Ford coupe. "Another runner in the night?" Hey, that could make sense.
I felt like such an idiot.
