The story:
My brother and I were in the car with my father, and this song came on the radio. He looked really confused for a second during the chorus, and then said, "Is he saying 'Stomp the wombat?'" First I told him that he wasn't really qualified to judge hard rock. All he knew about modern music he learned from the Billy and the Boingers story-arc in Bloom County (this is still true today.) Then I realized that, yes, Mr. Vedder was pretty clearly shouting "Stomp the wombat." My relationship with my father was forever changed.
