The story:
For years I thought they were talking about an
actual airline pilot, and my brain even created
this story where when I heard that line I
thought, "Oh yeah, wasn't there some story about
a plane that crashed because the pilot got sick
from something in the water?" So I decided to
look up the song and find out when that
"incident" happened... and then I discover that
it was never an actual incident at all. Half of
me was kicking myself for being so stupid, and
the other half was mystified as to how I'd made
up that crazy story.
