THE MISHEARD:

I've got people in my beer telling me what to do.

The story:

I misheard it while in the car with a friend on a road trip. I should point out that she misheard it too. I said, "If you see people in your beer then you are already drunk." My friend laughed so hard that she almost had to pull over, but agreed that it made sense, especially because one of the lines before that was "poppin' champagne." I didn't realize it was wrong until a few weeks later, after the top 40 station played it twice in an hour. After the second time it played, I realized, "Oh, she didn't say beer, she said ear!" I was so embarrassed.
