The story:
Actually, I had no idea what they were saying, and I thought they were saying Rice-a-rona--I thought maybe that was a different or a rock-n-roll way of saying Rice-a-roni. I was 12. I found out not too long after that it was My Sharona, and I was like: Huh? What's a sharona?
My cousin thought it was funny, she was 12, too.
