The story:
As I consider myself quite the expert on Madonna lyrics, I was singing full blast at a party. Everyone got really quiet and asked me to sing it again. Loud laughter ensues, and I still hear about it, several years later....

Funny, but I have to put in my two cents - these are not "Madonna lyrics." Fever is a jazz standard, most famously performed by Peggy Lee. Madonna was way late to the party :)
