The story:
I'm the type of person who wouldn't get up and sing in front of a crowd for any amount of money and even when I'm alone I crank up the volume to drown out the sound of my own voice! So, it was around date # 4 with my musical "Rain man" boyfriend when he heard me singing these incorrect lyrics. Lucky for me, he found it endearing because this was only the first of MANY misheard lyrics he's pointed out to me!
And, not only did I suffer the initial embarrassment, but I get to relive it every time he tells other people about my inability to sing the right lyrics. Which he does by conjuring an image of the "poor girl with only one wing, left to fly around in circles!"
