I am Scottish, have always loved this song.
My fiance is from Arkansas and the first time he heard me singing this he thought it was hilarious!! He told me what the real lyrics were.
I said I thought they'd just added in a bit about WWII with the "hungry jew" lyric, and I thought Richmond LaFelle was a place in the USA.
Oh the shame!
