The story:
I had raided my parents CD collection and was a long time fan of
"The Greatest Hits of 1982". The song had never really made any
sense so I decided, seizing on this line, to reword it to be all about
food ("Wise guys realise there's danger in obese-making pies"). In
my heart i never really accepted the bland original when i found it
out, and it was not so much a moment of embarrassment as grave,
grave disappointment.
