The story:
Actually, it wasn't me, it was my sister Ann who lived in blissful
ignorance of the true lyric for years.
When we pointed out the correct lyric to her, at first she was
startled, then we all roared with laughter.
"But Ann", we asked, "didn't you hear the part about 'poofters'?"
"Oh yeah, I got that"
"So how would a girl's name fit in to that?"
