The story:
I was minimally embarrassed. I wasn't even wrong for a year...the song came out in 2007 & I discovered I misunderstood the lyrics in March of 2008. I just thought "my version" was awfully weird until I read the lyrics online. For me to not misunderstand lyrics to vocal music, the artist/lead singer has to sing very clearly. Adam Levine of Maroon 5 usually sings clearer than he does in this song.
